Justin grew up in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and graduated from Lipscomb University in 2005, earning a degree in Government and Public Administration with a minor in Youth/Family Ministries. Justin joined the North Atlanta staff in 2005. He is passionate about relational ministry and inspiring students to give themselves fully to God. He loves being a part of the NACC family along with his wife, Bethany, and their son, Burton.
God has instilled the passions and gifts within Justin to minister to students and has led him to the North Atlanta family. For the past four years, Justin has been dedicated to these students and lives to see students give themselves more fully to God.
Major L. Boglin (Ph.D., LMFT) is the Family Life Minister and Director of the Genesis Center for Christian Counseling for the North Atlanta Church of Christ. Prior to coming to North Atlanta in June 2001, he served for 8 years as Assistant Professor and Clinical Supervisor in the Graduate Department of Marriage and Family Therapy at Abilene Christian University (ACU). He served for 4 years as the Dean of Students and Adjunct Faculty in the College of Biblical Studies at ACU.
Dr. Boglin is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Georgia, a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and an Approved Supervisor. He has over 25 years of private practice experience in pastoral counseling and marriage and family therapy, and 8 years of experience in Neurofeedback. In addition, he conducts workshops and enrichment retreats in many areas concerning marriage and family life (e.g, marriage enrichment, sexual enhancement in marriage, family faith building, positive parenting, divorce adjustment, step-family transitions, and families in stress).
Major and his wife of 24 years, Bernadette, have two sons, Berkley and Alexander.
Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Nelson and his family came to the USA as missionaries in 1994 to work for the Hispanic community. During that time, they established four congregations in the Atlanta metro area.
Nelson graduated from University of Miami with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, from Heritage Christian University with a Post-Graduate degree in Bible Studies, and from Louisiana Baptist University with a Ph.D. in Christian Counseling. He is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor and a Board Certified Addictionologist. He is a member of the Georgia Christian Counseling Association, American Association of Christian Counselors, National Christian Counselors Association, and the Association for Hispanic Theological Education.
Nelson is married to Mariela. They have four children (all married) and one lovely granddaughter.
Kendra is from Pennsylvania, but her family now lives in Searcy, Arkansas. She graduated Harding University in 2011 with a General Studies degree with emphases in Bible and Behavioral Sciences. Kendra was a summer intern at North Atlanta from 2009-2011, a year-round intern from 2011-2012, and was hired as a full-time Student Minister in September 2012. Kendra is here to share the good news of the freedom found in Jesus Christ to everyone, especially the students at North Atlanta.

Joshua grew up in Wichita, Kansas and graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2010, earning a degree in Youth and Family Ministry with a minor in Public Service. In 2011 Joshua moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue graduate work at Emory University, during that time he was an intern at NACC. In May of 2014 he joined the North Atlanta staff, following the completion of his MDiv program at Emory. Joshua is passionate about church leadership development and discipleship. Also, he enjoys being able to preach and teach at North Atlanta.

Stephen Maxwell joined the North Atlanta ministry team in 2015 as Worship Minister. He is passionate about worship and sharing the Good News of Christ through singing, speaking and teaching. Stephen has served in local congregations in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama and Tennessee, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry at Harding Graduate School of Theology in Memphis, Tennessee.
Stephen and his wife, Alasha, share a passion for worship and ministry with young adults and college students. They have worked closely with universities in Arlington, Texas, Portland, Oregon, Florence, Alabama and Memphis, Tennessee. Stephen and Alasha are raising three growing boys: Jonah, Judah and Josiah.
Stephen has worked with the internationally known Christian music group Acappella, touring Europe, Africa, South America and the continental United States – singing in every state of our union with the exception Hawaii.
Stephen loves to sing and spend time with his family.
Derek McClardy has served with North Atlanta since 2016. He serves as the college minister but also spends time helping in the worship ministry. Derek graduated the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!) and interned for the student ministry at North Atlanta during his summers in college. Since graduating college he has been full time at North Atlanta.
Don and Susan McLaughlin have been serving with North Atlanta since 1997. Their five children are pursuing their undergraduate and graduate studies around the country while Don and Susan are enjoying ministry and the empty nest. Don graduated from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas with a bachelor's degree in Bible and a minor in New Testament Greek. From 1999 to 2001 Don continued his education at Candler School of Theology, Emory University. Prior to serving at North Atlanta, he and his family served with churches in Anderson, Indiana and Byesville, Ohio.
In addition to his pulpit ministry with North Atlanta, Don serves as an adjunct professor with Harding, teaching Bible in their online degree program. He also conducts seminars and workshops on spiritual growth, communication, leadership, and personal effectiveness in the U.S. and around the world. He especially enjoys working with universities, young people, churches, and corporations. His first book, Heaven in the Real World, is available through Simon and Schuster publishing.

We love Atlanta and we love serving with our North Atlanta family. It is such a joy to be a part of a Christ-centered, diverse, community-impacting church. Together with our church family, we have grown in our love for Christ Jesus and our desire to inspire others to give themselves fully to God. Our prayer is that North Atlanta can be an inspiration to everyone we touch.
Jennifer Schroeder is the Children's Minister for the North Atlanta Church of Christ. Prior to coming to Atlanta, she served as a Children's Minister in the Dallas, Texas area. Jennifer graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelors and masters in Music as well as a doctorate in Music from Michigan State University. She then continued her education at Lubbock Christian University with a M.S. in Family Life Education and earned her CFLE Certification with the National Council on Family Relations.
Jennifer speaks at churches throughout the country on developing Children's Ministries, music in ministry, special needs, and spiritual growth within children and families. Ministry is her passion, and she feels truly blessed to have the opportunity to spend each day walking alongside children and their families as they grow in Christ.
Jennifer and her husband, Greg, have four little ones, Jack, Lillian, Harvey, and Matilda.
Administrative Executive Minister
Ken Snell has been on staff at North Atlanta since 1991. He currently serves as Administrative Executive Minister and Worship Minister. He began ministry as a College Minister (University of Tennessee 1976-1982) and then served as Youth & Family Minister for nine years in Middle Tennessee before joining the staff at North Atlanta.
Ken's education includes an undergraduate degree from Lipscomb University and a Master's degree in Education from the University of Tennessee.
Ken is married to Susan, a graduate of The University of Tennessee. They have two daughters and a granddaughter.
Young Adults Minister
Tim Tidwell has been a part of the North Atlanta family since 2000. A native of Alabama and a graduate of Auburn University, Tim worked in the commercial construction industry for twelve years before pursuing a calling in full-time ministry. After completing a one year ministry internship at North Atlanta, he joined the staff in the fall of 2011 as Young Adult Minister. His primary roles include working with college students and young single adults and inspiring them to give themselves fully to God.
