ANCHORED IN PRAYER

This Sunday, we begin a new series: Anchored in Prayer.

Prayer is a fundamental marker of our reliance on God and our relationships with one another, and this series is an invitation to grow in both. Throughout June, we’ll spend four weeks in shared prayer and discernment, asking what the Spirit is doing among us and what it means to be a faithful embassy of Christ in Dunwoody and Metro Atlanta. A particular focus in this season is praying for our elders as they discern the question of women in eldership, and praying that our church will walk through this season in unity and love.

We will introduce a 4-Week Prayer Journal this Sunday, with copies available for you to take home. We hope you will join us in this month of prayer together.

SECOND SATURDAYS AT THE CAC

Join us for a new monthly service opportunity with the Community Assistance Center (CAC), one of the ministries supported through our One Heart giving.

North Atlanta will be partnering with Temple Emanu-El on the second Saturday of each month to staff the CAC thrift store and food pantry. Our first date to serve is Saturday, June 13th, and we still need a few more volunteers.

Volunteer shifts run from 12:30–4:15 pm, with opportunities to serve as:

  • Cashier

  • Cashier Assistant

  • Thrift Store Sorter

  • Food Pantry Stocker

Whether you can serve once or make it a regular commitment, this is a meaningful and hands-on way to support neighbors in our community. We hope to grow this ministry and eventually help the CAC cover all Saturday afternoons.

CLICK HERE to sign up or express interest for future dates.

CLOTHING DONATIONS NEEDED

We are in need of new or gently used women’s business casual clothing, shoes, and jewelry for our monthly Success Academies. Donations may be dropped in bins in the FEC Atrium or the Adult Hall. Due to space limitations, please limit clothing donations to 10 items. Please contact Jasmine Turner (jasmine.turner@nacofc.org) or Christa Kendrick (christa.kendrick@nacofc.org) with questions.
