ELDERS & SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP

Together, we’ll ask what it means to read these scriptures faithfully as we continue our congregational discernment process regarding women as elders.

DAY OF PRAYER

We invite you to join us this Tuesday, June 30th, for a special Day of Prayer as we walk through this season of prayer and discernment together – asking what it means to be a faithful embassy of Christ in our community and also seeking the Spirit’s guidance on the question of women in eldership. Members of our church family will be praying continuously from 6 am to 10 pm in HeBrews. Sign up for an hour or simply drop by when you’re able. We hope you will join us!

COMMUNITY LISTENING SESSION

Make plans to join us on July 21st from 6–8 pm in Room 115 for a special community listening session hosted in partnership with Hope Heals Addiction Recovery Support Center and the Georgia Council for Recovery.

The opioid and substance use crisis continues to impact communities across North Fulton and DeKalb Counties, and we believe that meaningful solutions are built when diverse voices come together around the same table. Every perspective matters, and your voice can help shape a stronger and healthier future for our communities.

COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE CENTER

We are proud to partner with the Community Assistance Center to help meet the needs of our neighbors in Sandy Springs. Here are two ways you can help this summer:

·     Meals for Kids: The CAC provides nutritious weekly food to school-aged children during the summer who would otherwise receive food assistance through school. CLICK HERE to donate food online or view a list of items to drop off at the CAC.

·     Second Saturdays: North Atlanta volunteers at the CAC thrift store and food pantry on the second Saturday of each month. CLICK HERE to sign up for future dates.

ANCHORED IN PRAYER

Join us this Sunday as we continue our series, Anchored in Prayer.

Prayer is a fundamental marker of our reliance on God and our relationships with one another, and this series is an invitation to grow in both. As we move through June, we’re spending four weeks in shared prayer and discernment, asking what the Spirit is doing among us and what it means to be a faithful embassy of Christ in Dunwoody and Metro Atlanta. A particular focus in this season is praying for our elders as they discern the question of women in eldership, and praying that our church will walk through this season in unity and love. We hope you’ll continue to use our Prayer Journal as a guide for personal and family prayer throughout this series.

We also invite you to join us for a special Day of Prayer on Tuesday, June 30th. Members of our church family will be praying continuously from 6 am to 10 pm in HeBrews. Sign up for an hour or simply drop by when you’re able.

SUMMER CHILDREN’S WORSHIP SCHEDULE

This Sunday is a Family Sunday. While Children's Worship and Preschool Worship will not meet, Family Bags with children’s activities will be available in HeBrews for children to enjoy during worship.

 Children’s Worship (K-3rd Grade, Clubhouse) and Preschool Worship (Ages 3-PreK, Room 210) will meet on July 12th and July 19th. All other Sundays in June and July will be Family Sundays.  

Staffed nurseries (Birth-24 Months and Two-Year-Olds) will be available every Sunday in June and July, except July 5th.

CHILDREN'S BIBLE CLASSES

Please join us for engaging Bible classes tailored to each age group every Sunday morning from 9:30 to 10:15 am! Please visit the Children’s Check-In Desk to learn more and get started!

Nursery Classes: Our youngest children receive attentive and compassionate care while learning about God and his creation through songs and play.

Preschool Class: Our preschool children (ages 3+) use the First Look curriculum and learn three powerful truths: God made them, God loves them, and Jesus is their friend.

Elementary Classes: Using the 252 Kids curriculum, our elementary children learn how to grow in their relationship with Jesus through stories from the Old and New Testaments.

SUMMER WITH NACM

NAFX (North Atlanta Family Experiences) are weekend events designed for the whole family to enjoy together, and SOS (School’s Out for Summer) events are weekday daytime gatherings for parents and children looking for fun and community during the week.

THYME 4 FRIENDS

Come join us for Thyme 4 Friends on the second Monday of each month from 1:30 to 3 pm in Room 101 (near the undercover parking entrance). All senior adults and adults with special needs are invited to share in the fun as we play interactive mind and memory games – with prizes! Thyme 4 Friends provides socialization, stimulation, and support for people who know that life gets better with age. Caregivers are encouraged to participate, or they can also drop off/pick up. This special once-per-month program is hosted in partnership with NACC and offered free of charge. The North Atlanta Online Community is an important ministry of our church family that is devoted to those who worship with us each Sunday outside of our physical church building. Our online worship experience is beautifully connected with our in-person worship each week, and the Online Community has been designed to provide warmth, connection, and engagement for all who join us online. Whether you need to be away from our in-person gathering because of travel, illness, or any other reason, there is always an online “pew” and a heartfelt greeting waiting for you at live.nacofc.org. Join us every Monday at 8:30 pm for our weekly online ROAL (Recovery on All Levels) meeting. This women’s support group creates a safe and faith-filled space for healing and growth. The group explores emotional, spiritual, and personal wellness through community, reflection, and practical tools for everyday life.

BRAVES GAME

NASM students and families, come join us as we go to a Braves game together on Monday, July 20th. Tickets are $25, and transportation will be provided. We will leave the church at 5:30 pm and return at 10:30 pm. Make sure to reserve your ticket (CLICK HERE) before July 1st – when we open up the remaining tickets to our entire church family.

SIX FLAGS

Students, make plans to join us on Thursday, July 23rd, as we spend a fun day together at Six Flags! We’ll meet at the church at 10 am and return at 8:30 pm.
